I Am Kidnapped – Synopsis
I’m Stella, and this is the story of how my perfect life shattered in a moment.
Ankush and I were in love—madly, deeply, completely. We were planning our engagement, dreaming of forever, until one day, out of nowhere, I received an email from him. A cold, detached breakup. No explanation. Just an end to everything we had built.
Days later, his parents returned all my belongings in a box, as if erasing me from his life. But hidden inside was something unexpected—a blue file filled with strange codes. My best friend, Samruddhi, and I couldn’t ignore it. We cracked the code, and what we discovered changed everything. Ankush didn’t leave me. He was kidnapped. And worse, we had to be careful—someone was watching.
Following his hidden instructions, we met two of his closest friends, Zawar and Bhushan. That’s when the real shock hit us. Ankush wasn’t just my fiancé. He wasn’t even just a regular man.
Ankush, Zawar, and Bhushan were superhumans.
Ankush possessed an extraordinary brainpower—he could sense and fight crimes within a specific radius. Zawar had the ability to change his appearance into anyone. Bhushan could read minds and communicate with people, but only if they allowed him.
Now, with Ankush missing and danger lurking around every corner, Samruddhi and I are caught in a world we never imagined existed. If Ankush left us a clue, it means he wants us to find him. But what if the ones who took him are watching our every move?
I don’t know what we’re up against. I only know one thing—
I will find Ankush. No matter what it takes....
I have always been a shy person—careful with my words, weighing each one before I spoke. My thoughts ran deep, and emotions guided most of my decisions.
Samruddhi, on the other hand, was different. She wasn’t one to dwell too much
on feelings. Bold, direct, and fiercely loyal, she had the kind of heart that
never held grudges, never played games. A die-hard Shah Rukh fan, she believed
in grand gestures and unwavering friendships. If she called you a friend, she’d
move mountains for you. And our friendship? It stretched back to when we were
just kids in kindergarten, two little girls who somehow knew we’d always have
each other’s backs.
When Bhushan
saw Samruddhi step into the house, something unusual happened. He could read
her—see straight into her soul. This had never happened to him before. Usually,
he could only enter people’s minds if they knew him and willingly allowed him
in. But with her, it was different. He understood her even before she saw him.
Maybe it was because, for the first time, he was meeting someone with a
completely clean soul.
Or maybe, it
was something more.
In the
fleeting moments before she laid eyes on him, he felt an anxious excitement. He
wanted—no, needed—to hear her thoughts. And then, when their eyes finally met,
the connection was instant. He exhaled in relief. It was mutual.
Among the
many other thoughts. One which was striking was
"Rahul!!."
This thought
that was in her mind which was very
clear.
Samrudhhi’s
favourite actor was Shahrukh Khan. She had this funny desire to have love at
first sight with a guy who like Rahul’s and Raj in Shahrukh movies. Someone who had mesmerizing
intensity, a mix of charm, depth, that in one look can make you feel like he’s
looking right through your soul. His signature gaze should be gloomy,
passionate with a tinge of mischief that has a way of making hearts skip a
beat.
Bhushan
barely managed to keep a straight face then. “Seriously?”
He said to himself. He found it oddly hilarious, yet at the same time, it
felt... great.
Later, as
they sat on the sofa, he leaned slightly toward her, looking deep into her eyes
through her spectacles. And in an almost teasing tone;
"Let me
introduce myself,"
"That's
alright... Why—" she began, but Bhushan interrupted with a smirk.
“Rahul! Naam
toh suna hi hoga.”
She froze.
Her eyes widened as realization dawned.
“You—” she
started, completely tongue-tied.
Bhushan held
her gaze, his grin unwavering.
From across
the room, I watched them, whispering in hushed voices. In all the years I had
known Samruddhi, I had never seen her looking so… uncertain. And then,
something truly bizarre happened.
For the
first time in all these years, I saw her blush.
Chapter 9:
The Hidden Message
The
revelation about Ankush’s abilities—along with Bhushan’s and Zawar’s—swirled in
my mind like a storm, refusing to settle. My world had shifted in ways I could
never have imagined.
The past few
weeks had been a whirlwind of emotions, each one more overwhelming than the
last. The pain of believing Ankush had left me, the emptiness of that loss, had
consumed me. And now, I had to process something even more shocking—Ankush
hadn’t broken up with me. He hadn’t abandoned me at all. In fact, he wasn’t
even the person I thought I knew. He was something... more. Someone with powers
beyond my comprehension.
And now, he
was in danger.
The thought
made my stomach twist. He wasn’t just missing—he had been taken. Kidnapped by
Russians who might drag him to some secret lab in their homeland, experiment on
him, rip him apart piece by piece just to understand what made him different.
The image made my blood run cold.
Ankush
wasn’t just my boyfriend anymore. He was a mystery, a secret the world wasn’t
meant to uncover. And if we didn’t find him soon... I might lose him forever.
I paced the
room, my arms crossed tightly over to my chest. I turned sharply toward
Bhushan, in frustration. “Why can’t you just keep connecting with him? Ask him
outright where he is! Wouldn’t that be the easiest way to get to him?”
Bhushan
glanced at Zawar before sighing. He tapped his temple lightly. “It’s not that
simple, Stella. Mind communication doesn’t work like phone calls. Ankush is
already under immense stress, and because of his own abilities, his mind isn’t…
easy to reach. It’s like trying to hear a whisper in a storm.”
Zawar
stepped forward; his usually composed face etched with tension. “Not just that.
If Ankush tries to speak to Bhushan, he has to use his actual voice. That’s the
only way Bhushan can clearly hear him. But that’s a risk. If anyone overhears
him talking when no one else is there, they’ll know something is off. They’ll
know he’s not alone in this.”
My stomach
twisted at the thought. “So what do we do? Just sit here and wait while they
move him?”
Zawar shook
his head. “No. We move fast. But we do it smart.” He exhaled. “To be safe, none of us have ever contacted each other through normal
means. Not calls, not messages, not emails. That’s why I haven’t seen Bhushan
in decades. But somehow, Ankush managed to leave us a clue.”
Bhushan was
already at his laptop, his fingers flying over the keys. “Let’s see what this
link he left us is.”
The screen
flickered to life, and Bhushan quickly entered the decoded URL from Samrudhhi’s
diary. For a few agonizing seconds, nothing happened—just a blank screen. Then,
a map materialized. The air in the room became thick with tension as the map
zoomed into a specific location.
“Uttar
Pradesh,” Bhushan murmured, his brows furrowing. The map highlighted a place on
the outskirts of the city, a red marker pulsing like a heartbeat over the name:
Renusagar.
“Renusagar?”
“What is that?” I asked
Bhushan with
a pride in his voice said. “My roots are from Uttar Pradesh. Renusagar is a
town in district called Sonbhadra. Sonbadhra infact is the Energy capital of
India. Ankush is in an old manufacturing unit. Shut down years ago.”
Zawar
stepped closer, his jaw tightening. “A perfect place to keep someone hidden.”
Samrudhhi
leaned forward, scanning the satellite images on the screen. The factory was
sprawling—rusted metal structures, vast empty lots, and large, abandoned
warehouses. “This place is huge. If they’ve got Ankush there, how do we even
get in?”
Zawar’s blue eyes
darkened. “We don’t go in blind. We scout first. We figure out their numbers,
their security, and their weak spots.”
My heart
pounded. “And then?”
Bhushan
looked up; his expression grim. “Then, we bring him home.”
A heavy
silence filled the room. They all knew what this meant. This wasn’t just a
rescue—it was a war they were about to step into. And failure wasn’t an option.
“Let’s
move,” Zawar said, closing the laptop with a decisive snap. “Time is running
out.”
